Sooooo..... extra-super-crazee-busy since returning from the *exceedingly* wonderful ArtFest experience-- but will post pics and reflections SOON, I promise!!!
In the meantime, getting ready to throw some stuff, most certainly to include art supplies, back into a-backpack-and-a-bag-or-two, for that recently-rarely-experienced event known as a ROAD TRIP!!!
Leaving mid-day Saturday with a friend from Luna to head southwardly towards...
1. Olympia, WA for a stop at Shipwreck Beads (largest selection of beads in the WORLD!!!-- in their on-line incarnation, anyway) on the way to Procession of the Species....
2. Eugene, OR (Sunday) to see Swell Season.... (You know, the genius singers/ song-writers/ performers from the fantastic Irish film Once ....)
3. (Monday) Heading back up north towards Vashon, meeting up along the way with at least one, maybe two former Cafe Luna employees now living in various parts of Oregon....
Full reports to come, upon my return to The Island! Hope your'e all seeing some spring sunshine wherever you may find yourselves-- been a bit overly cold-and-cloudy-and-greyish 'round here of late!!! Crossing my fingers for some rejuvenating sun showers as we head South and East.... In the meantime, counting on that yummy magical elixir known as expertly-prepared espresso to keep me smiling!

ArtFest, Here I Come!!!
Completely ridiculously excited to think that by this time tomorrow I will have arrived in Port Townsend (4 buses, 2 ferries and I'm there!), and will have begun the fantastic experience that ArtFest '08 is certain to be!
Thought I'd post a quick pic of the trades I made to bring along-- little mini-books, somewhere in the vicinity of 63 in all, each completely different, containing a wide variety of cool papers and dictionary pages and assorted ephemera for the Festers to enjoy-- maybe even to incorporate into the art they make during these next few days!
***CLICK on photo to enlarge it so that you can get a better look! :) The cute little owl is this year's logo, designed by ArtFest creator and all-around creative genuis Teesha Moore-- this year's theme is Forest Walk.... Certainly looking forward to strolling along the forest's edge as it meets the sea at Fort Warden! Port Townsend is one of my very favorite places, and how amazing is it that this retreat that draws people from all over the world happens so close by!
Giddy with anticipation, gathering up the last little bits and pieces, checking off that to-do list, getting ready to embark upon the glorious journey ahead! Will leave the house before 7:30, white-chocolate-peppermint mocha in one hand, suitcase in another, pack on my back and off I go! Certain to have loads of amazing experiences to recount upon my return.... Until then, peace and love to all ya'll! Ciao, darlin's!!!

Springtime Snowfall
OK, ready to try out some of the available bells-n-whistles as I navigate my way through the process of fancyin' up this here blog-o-mine....
Grateful to my dear friend Lynndee for providing the creative nudge to make this thing happen (as well as the overflowing abundant wealth of creativity she's shared with me over the years) as we enjoyed an early springtime tea-party-on-the-lawn earlier this month. (Never mind that now that the calendar says it is actually in fact officially springtime, it seems to be snowing rather significantly at the moment.... Oh, well.... Just rollin' with the changes!)
Anyhow.... Eager to play around with the possibilities for self-expression-via-blog, absolutely ecstatic to be preparing for the Creativity Extravaganza known as Artfest (just days away!!!) and excited about this site as a venue for exploring and sharing the new skills and techniques and friendships that I know are certain to come out of those Amazing Early-April Days!!!
So, looks like I managed to get my hyperlinks to work; tomorrow I'll tackle the insertion of photos, hopefully to include some of the cool trades I've been working on to bring to the retreat....
For now, sweet dreams to all on this Night of Spring Snowfalling.....

Dreaming Out Loud!
WOW! That was remarkably easy! :)
Been thinking for quite some time about delving ever-deeper into exploring the possibilities of The Blog, having been so immeasurably inspired by the riches I've found at other people's sites-- so here goes it!
Downright giddy with anticipation at the potential for deepening connections and sharing insights-- setting sail now, leaving the shore behind, embarking upon a journey 'cross unknown sparkling waters....
